Was Dingdong Dantes or his game show, Family Feud, trying to be controversial when he dangled a seemingly “loaded” question in a recent episode? Dantes’ seemingly playful question on Family Feud more than amused netizens as it sparked d e b a t e online. While it was with hilarity, it was also peppered with controversy.
The question Dantes poked at the audience was: “Ano ang posibleng trabaho ng taong laging naka-livestream o naka-Facebook Live (What’s the possible work of someone who is always on livestream or Facebook Live)?”
And then he gave the choices: “A. Online seller B. Senador.”
That viral question drew mixed reactions from netizens.
“B. Senador eme lang. Nakakalito na din kasi minsan. Parehong laging online ee (B. Senator, joke only. It’s confusing sometimes. They’re both online always),” one guy commented.
“Senator syempre!!!! (Senator, of course),” one guy opined.
“Haha yan ba utos ng management? Ang gawin joke Ang gingawang pg fb live ng senador (Is that the order of management? To make joke the live session of a senator?),” one fan commented.
“Mas okay na naglilive ang mga Senador para malaman namin ang katotohanan .. kysa naman manood kami sa mga biased News media na bayaran.. one-sided lang (The senators going live is okay for people to know the truth...instead of us watching biased news media which can be bought. It’s one-sided only),” one fan lamented.
“Wag kanang makisawsaw magtiktok kana lang came one guy’s unsolicited advice (Don’t join them, just do TikTok),”
What was Dantes driving at when he asked that question? Or better, what’s the show’s palpable reason for making that query.
Is the question intended to stir controversy? Is it for the ratings, relevance or clout?
Which is which?
Heart Evangelista’s assistant deletes reaction to Mimiyuuuh’s aria
Many were quite baffled as to why Heart Evangelista’s PA (personal assistant), Resty Rosell, reacted quite violently to the now viral “clean money” comment by content creators Mimiyuuuh and Esnyr.
In a vlog, Mimiyuuuh and Esnyr praised Anne Curtis for being still grounded despite her achievements, dropping the phrase “clean money” to describe Curtis’ wealth which seemingly infuriated Evangelista’s assistant although the fashion icon was never mentioned in the conversation.
In an obviously pissed off reaction, Rosell wrote in the comment section of the vlog: “Hindi mo need magpasikat mi, sikat kana, sayang lang meron kang paganyan, kahit sabihin pa natin hindi para kay Heart yan mali pa din, ano ba basehan natin sa clean money? Kailangan ba Mi manampal kami ng financial statement para masabing clean money (You don’t need to make yourself popular Mi, you’re already popular, it’s a pity you have that thing, even if we say that is not for Heart that’s still wrong, what’s your basis for clean money? Do we need to slap financial statement just to say clean money)?”
“What are you fighting for, Mi? You’re already popular, you don’t need to make yourself popular,” she added.
Strangely though, the comments have now been deleted.
As we write this, Mimiyuuuh and Esnyr had never reacted on Evangelista’s assistant’s fiery remarks.
This fueled online discussion with netizens offering interpretations and opinions about the issue.
