Disney+ is reviving one of its most beloved franchises with The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen, a new music-driven film that brings back original stars Raven-Symoné and Adrienne Bailon while introducing a fresh group of young performers.
Raven-Symoné reprises her role as Galleria, while Adrienne Bailon returns as Chanel. They are joined by returning cast members Lynn Whitfield as Dorothea and Lori Alter as Juanita, with Sabrina Bryan making a special appearance as Dorinda. Sophia Bush also joins the cast in a supporting role as Jennifré.
Leading the next generation are Leah Sava’ Jeffries as Faith, Galleria’s daughter, alongside Carmen Sanchez, Kaileen Chang, Sophie Lennon and South African newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala. The story follows the teens as they travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary, where they strengthen their friendship, discover their voices, and form the new Cheetah Girls while working to save the reserve.
The film is currently in production in South Africa under the direction of Bille Woodruff, with longtime franchise producer Debra Martin Chase returning as executive producer alongside Raven-Symoné. Inspired by Deborah Gregory’s book series, The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen continues the legacy of the hit Disney Channel franchise, which remains a nostalgic favorite more than two decades after the first film premiered.
