IV of Spades is revisiting its early songwriting years with the release of “Isang Pag-ibig,” a track written nearly a decade ago but only now finding its place in the band’s new era.

Released under Sony Music Entertainment, the emotionally candid single reflects on the search for genuine connection while confronting the painful realization that sincerity does not always guarantee love in return.

Built on jangly guitars, a simple chord progression, and a stripped-down band arrangement, “Isang Pag-ibig” embraces an understated sound that allows its heartfelt message to take center stage.

The release comes as IV of Spades continues its remarkable comeback following its reunion in late 2025. The quartet — Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga and Badjao de Castro — has since embarked on a nationwide tour, earned multiple award nominations, and is preparing for performances in the United States and Canada this October.

The band’s resurgence has also renewed interest in its earlier catalog, with “Kabisado” nearing 80 million streams on Spotify and returning to the local music charts.
