Mandopop star Eric Chou takes on his first leading role in a television drama with Fired Up!, a new coming-of-age series inspired by Gwangjin’s hit Kakao Webtoon Itaewon Class. The 12-episode HBO Original premieres 31 July exclusively on HBO Max, with new episodes released weekly.
Chou stars as Chou Lu-yung, a young man determined to uncover the truth behind his father’s death while fighting to save his family’s restaurant, Jin Lai Hao, with the help of his friends. Joining him are Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, Wang Shih-hsien, Akira Huang, Cosmos Lin, Sean Lin and Ben Wu. Produced by DaMou Entertainment in Taiwan, the series is directed by Kao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting.
Adding to the drama’s emotional appeal is an original soundtrack led by Chou, who wrote and performed the closing theme, Shells. The soundtrack also features new songs "After Everything" by Pets Tseng and "Dream Light" by Yo Lee, complementing the series’ themes of family, resilience and ambition.
