Red alert

Shoplifters are not the only menace of convenience stores. There are shoppers who consume items inside the store without paying for them.
One such store in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, was victimized last month. Its CCTV camera caught a male customer getting a bottle of roll-on deodorant from a shelf and applying it in his armpits, GMA News reported.
Instead of checking out the product at the cashier, the man returned the deodorant to the shelf and left.
The shop owner posted the video recording of the incident on social media with the caption “very unhygienic and very squammy.”
The post also reassured the public that staff of the convenience store removed the used deodorant from the shelf.
Meanwhile, a diner at a Red Lobster seafood restaurant in Douglasville, Georgia, USA, called 911 after his meal, claiming he was having a medical emergency.
First responders soon arrived at the restaurant on Highway 5 and checked on the caller, Abdul Rasheed, 26, on 24 September, the New York Post (NYP) reported. They found the customer perfectly fine, but he refused to pay his $63 bill.
Police were then called to the Red Lobster, and Rasheed was taken away in a patrol car instead of an ambulance.
Douglasville officers charged him with theft of services, unlawful conduct during a 911 call, and making a false report, according to NYP. The bill evader was booked into the Douglas County Jail.
