The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has taken full custody of eight high-value vehicles worth P143 million following the winding up of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).

The vehicles, linked to former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co, were seized on 8 January 2026 during a BOC operation in Taguig City, based on intelligence from the ICI.

Authorities located and inventoried the luxury vehicles in a multi-level parking facility after implementing court-issued search warrants for alleged violations of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

The units were placed under a warrant of seizure and detention and temporarily stored at the ICI facility in Bonifacio Global City due to space constraints at the Port of Manila.

The seized vehicles include a 2022 Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, 2024 Toyota Sequoia, 2020 Lexus LX450D, Cadillac Escalade ESV, Mercedes-Benz V220, 2018 Lexus LX570, 2017 Cadillac Escalade and 2024 Cadillac Escalade.

The BOC maintained custody of the vehicles through its personnel, with security support from the Philippine Coast Guard.

Their transfer to the Port of Manila was made possible after the BOC disposed of other seized vehicles through auctions, freeing up storage space.

With the closure of the ICI, the BOC moved the vehicles to ensure they remain under direct government custody. Prior to the transfer, the agency filed the required manifestation before the court to ensure all actions complied with legal procedures.
