Some 1,157 beneficiaries from indigenous communities received 25 kilos of rice each during a distribution activity in Barangay O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on 26 March.
The Provincial Government of Tarlac said recipients came from Barangays Bueno, Maruglu, Sta. Juliana, and O’Donnell. The assistance was funded through the Local Government Support Fund–Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) program.
The distribution was led by Gov. Christian Yap and Vice Gov. Lita Aquino, in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office of Capas. The Amigo Segurado group also provided food assistance during the activity.
“Ito ay isang patunay sa malasakit at dedikasyon ng pamahalaan na maabot ang bawat Tarlaqueño sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan sa pambansang pamahalaan at mga lokal na pamahalaan para sa mas maayos at mas maunlad na kinabukasang para sa lahat,” Yap said.
