

TACLOBAN CITY — An elderly woman and two others were rescued after their motorized boat capsized off the coastal waters of Dimasalang, Masbate, on Thursday morning.
The Dimasalang Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said it received a report through social media at 8:43 a.m. and immediately dispatched a rescue team.
The rescue operation involved personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard Dimasalang, MDRRMO San Vicente in Northern Samar, and the San Vicente fire station.
Rescued were a 63-year-old woman from Dimasalang and two male passengers from San Vicente.
An MDRRMO report said the three were passengers of M/B Realyn, which was traveling from Dimasalang to San Vicente, when it capsized at about 8 a.m. on 5 February.
The passengers were brought to the Dimasalang Rural Health Unit for medical attention.
