The brilliance of Filipino filmmaking takes the spotlight once again as the 41st Star Awards for Movies rolls out the red carpet for the most anticipated night in Philippine cinema, happening on 30 November 2025 (Sunday) at the Makabagong San Juan Theater, Pinaglabanan Road, San Juan City.
Now on its 41st year, the PMPC Star Awards for Movies continues its legacy of honoring artistic excellence, creative innovation, and cinematic storytelling that reflect the Filipino spirit. Organized by the PMPC Star Awards Inc., the event stands as a hallmark of prestige and credibility, recognizing films released in 2024 that have inspired audiences and elevated the craft of filmmaking.
A Night of Legacy and Innovation
This year’s edition promises to be a grand convergence of artistry and emotion, produced by GSD Studios, under the leadership of CEO Elai Tabilog, and directed by visionary filmmaker Jorron Lee Monroy. The collaboration marks a new chapter for the PMPC, fusing tradition with modern creative direction through GSD Studios’ expertise in multimedia, advertising, and live event production.
“Our team is dedicated to creating high-quality, innovative content that aligns with our clients’ brand goals. At GSD Studios, we pride ourselves on delivering projects on time, within budget, beyond expectations,” shared Ms. Tabilog.
Under the stewardship of PMPC President Mell Navarro and Chairman Jimi Escala, the event is set to celebrate not only cinematic excellence but also the continued evolution of the Filipino film industry — from veteran icons to emerging storytellers redefining what it means to create local films in a global era.
A Celebration of Filipino Storytelling
From emotional dramas and blockbuster romances to groundbreaking independent films, this year’s nominees showcase the resilience, imagination, and boundless creativity of Filipino filmmakers. The awards night will also feature star-studded performances, moving tributes, and special honors dedicated to the pillars of Philippine cinema.
As anticipation builds, the PMPC invites the public to join in honoring the luminaries who continue to shape the nation’s cultural identity through film.
“It’s more than an awards night — it’s a celebration of stories that move, challenge, and unite us,” said a PMPC representative.
