Filipino talent shines in DreamWorks Animation's newest project, Forgotten Island, as national treasure Lea Salonga, Filipino-American singer H.E.R., Filipina actress Liza Soberano are the voice lead characters in the highly anticipated animated adventure.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, other cast members of Forgotten Island are Filipino-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate and Dave Franco.
Directed and written by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, Forgotten Island will be released by Universal Pictures and is slated to hit theaters in September next year.
The plot, the animated film follows an extraordinary adventure that highlights courage, connection, and rediscovery plus its Filipino elemental and mythological beings their much deserved time to shine on the silver screen.
Forgotten Island showcases the Filipino narrative, culture and its world class artists for the right reasons, giving it the spotlight and stellar treatment it deserves.
