Barefoot Theatre Collaborative has officially announced the return of Bar Boys: A New Musical for a limited engagement this October 2025 at the Hyundai Hall, Areté, in Quezon City. Following its critically acclaimed debut in 2024, the hit production is back by popular demand, bringing with it the same powerhouse cast and emotionally resonant storytelling that captivated audiences nationwide.
Reprising their lead roles are Benedix Ramos as Erik, Alex Diaz as Chris, Jerom Canlas as Torran, Omar Uddin as Josh, and the ever-commanding Sheila Francisco as Justice Hernandez.
Based on Kip Oebanda’s 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino favorite, Bar Boys: A New Musical reimagines the beloved film as a stirring stage production, complete with original music and dynamic choreography. It follows four young men as they enter the high-stakes world of law school — each one driven by ambition, idealism, and the dream of making a difference. But as their journey unfolds, friendships are tested and ideals begin to waver, forcing them to confront hard truths about justice, sacrifice, and personal growth.
More than just a glimpse into legal education, the musical delves into deeper themes of family, purpose, and transformation in an evolving society. With a score that weaves together humor, heartbreak, and hope, Bar Boys speaks to anyone who’s ever dared to chase a dream—no matter the odds.
As a token of appreciation, the production team is offering a 30 percent discount on select performances for returning audiences from last year. “To our FIRST BELIEVERS, those who watched our 2024 run, we have a special gift for you,” the group shared on social media.
Tickets and additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
