The Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) reported at least three explosions on election day.
PRO-BAR spokesperson P/Lt. Col. Joey Ventura said the three blasts happened in Calanogan, Lanao del Sur; Datu Anggal, Mindanao; and Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur.
According to Ventura, a 32-year-old woman was injured during the incident.
“Pero stable naman ang condition. May tama sa paa (She is now in stable condition),” Ventura told reporters in a virtual press conference.
A separate explosion occurred around 9 a.m. on 12 May in Sitio Baklayan, Barangay Panngawalupa, while another explosion involving a suspected improvised bomb occurred around 1:30 p.m., along the national highway in Datu Anggal Midtimbang.
Authorities said no injuries were reported in either of the blast incidents.
Further, Ventura said the investigation into the series of explosions is still ongoing.
