ILOILO CITY — The Land Transportation Office-Western Visayas (LTO-6) is set to offer a free 15-hour Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) exclusively for women in honor of National Women’s Month this March 2025.
The program, which aims to promote gender inclusivity and empower women in transportation, will be held at the Driver’s Education Center in Iloilo City on 11 to 12 March and 13 to 14 March.
A total of 100 women are expected to benefit from the initiative, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested applicants can secure a slot by sending their full name and preferred schedule to 0917-166-3576.
The two-day TDC is a mandatory requirement for securing a new driver’s license, equipping participants with essential knowledge of traffic laws, road safety and responsible driving practices.
“This program is vital in creating safer roads by making driver education accessible to all, especially to women,” said LTO-6 regional director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II.
LTO-6 assistant regional director Jeck Conlu also lauded the initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering a culture of disciplined and responsible road use.
The sessions will be facilitated by expert instructors from LTO-6’s Traffic Safety Unit, led by Mel Joy Gaurano.
