Natori on my mind

When it comes to a Natori event, it’s a must attend. Even if I had five parties that day, I would always make time. We headed to The Garden Pavillion of the Grand Hyatt Manila, elevated with rich red décor were the runway and stage to highlight the Natori RTW Fall 2024 collection.

This collection continues to celebrate East-meets-West, which is at the heart of Natori and everything she does. Josie Natori also talked about the symmetry of “today’s woman” — confident and beautiful, sensual yet discreet. It inspired the brand since the “Natori State of Mind” campaign in 1984 and still relevant today. Am I right, ladies?

She masterfully interpreted it for today’s world by showing lingerie in modern times. Natori turned their iconic lingerie from four decades ago into the base for this year’s ready-to-wear from day to night. Not only that, this collection shows more core wardrobe pieces in luxurious fabrics with styles for every climate. From warm-weather silk charmeuse and lace to winter-friendly wool and faux minks, in the form of dresses, outerwear, and more. They featured intricate details such as cut-outs and patterns, all made to accentuate the body. It’s very evident how much care and hard work went into this. Every piece was well-thought out for the modern woman’s flexible and functional styling, and will make a timeless addition for any wardrobe.

After the show, we spent some time mingling and marveling the pieces up close. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye early for another event. But not empty handed! I received a very thoughtful gift to bring with me — a personalized Natori scarf. Like all of her pieces, it was so chic and versatile. I can’t wait to add it to my outfits! Congratulations to the incomparable Josie Natori on yet another successful collection launch. And if anyone’s curious, you can visit Rustan’s branches to shop your favorite pieces. Cheers!
