Dipaculao, Aurora — The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Region 3 has provided assistance to the fishpond operators here that were affected by typhoon “Karding” previously.

The BFAR said that it was in response to the devastation caused by the typhoon, citing that BFAR has identified a total of 298 fishpond operators in need of assistance across the region.

It has served 168 operators, with distributions already conducted in Bulacan and Pampanga, and now six out of the 11 identified operators in Aurora have received their share as well.

Regional director Wilfredo Cruz expressed the agency’s commitment to aiding those impacted by the typhoon.
