The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) expressed readiness for the expected influx of travelers during Undas 2026, with more than 13,000 police personnel to be deployed across Metro Manila to ensure peace, order, and public safety.

Beginning 30 October until 3 November, the NCRPO will be on full alert status to ensure sustained police visibility, security, and rapid response throughout the Undas period.

“Our people can go home and visit their departed loved ones with peace of mind. The NCRPO is 101 percent ready, and our personnel will be where the public needs us most,” said NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano.

As part of its stringent preparations, NCRPO police districts and units have been directed to intensify patrols and police visibility in cemeteries, memorial parks, transportation hubs, major thoroughfares, commercial areas, and other places of convergence.

Security and traffic measures have also been strengthened in coordination with local government units, traffic authorities, emergency responders, cemetery administrators, transportation groups, and other partner agencies to ensure the safe and orderly movement of people and vehicles.

Police assistance desks and help booths will be established in strategic locations to provide directions, assist the public, receive reports, and facilitate immediate response to emergencies and other eventualities.

The NCRPO will likewise intensify efforts against theft, robbery, pickpocketing, scams, and other opportunistic crimes, particularly in crowded areas. Traffic and crowd management operations will also be heightened around major cemeteries, memorial parks, terminals, and other identified congestion points.

The public is reminded to remain vigilant by securing personal belongings, avoiding the display of valuables, keeping children and elderly family members within sight, following traffic and cemetery regulations, and immediately reporting suspicious persons, activities, or unattended items to the nearest police officer.

“We ask our kababayans to cooperate with our police officers and partner agencies. Undas is a time for remembrance and family, and we want every Filipino to honor their departed loved ones safely and peacefully. Our police officers are ready to assist, serve, and protect,” Abrahano said.

The NCRPO assured the public that its security and public-safety operations will remain continuous, coordinated, and responsive throughout the Undas period.
