A passenger allegedly involved in a human trafficking case was apprehended at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 in Pasay City.

Personnel of the Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) at Camp Crame coordinated with NAIA Police Station 2 regarding a 21-year-old passenger who arrived aboard a flight from Caticlan.

Upon the flight's arrival, WCPC personnel, together with the passenger's mother and a social worker from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), approached the passenger with assistance from NAIA Police Station 2 personnel.

The passenger was subsequently escorted to the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) Building at NAIA Terminal 1 for an interview and proper disposition.

PNP AVSEGROUP Director Police Brigadier General Dionisio Bartolome Jr. emphasized the Group’s commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals and strengthening inter-agency coordination in addressing human trafficking.

"Every airport is a frontline in protecting potential victims of human trafficking. We remain committed to swift coordination and responsive assistance to ensure their safety and proper handling,” Dionesio said.
