P400-K shabu seized in Makati buy-bust

An anti-illegal drug transaction in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City ended in the arrest of two drug personalities after police seized suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation on Thursday night, 15 October.

The operation was conducted at around 9:20 p.m. in Balagtas Street, Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City, by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Makati City Police Station.

Arrested were a 56-year-old male identified as a high-vaue individual, known by the alias Cardo, and a 26-year-old female identified as a street-level individual, known by the alias Tess, Both were unemployed and a residents of the address where the operation took place.

The operation resulted in the purchase of one heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu from the male suspect. After the transaction, the arresting officer identified himself as a police officer, leading to the arrest of both suspects.

During the subsequent search, police recovered additional sachets containing suspected shabu, the genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and 19 pieces of P500 bills identified as boodle money. The seized suspected illegal drugs had a combined estimated weight of 61 grams, with a standard drug price of P414,800.

The suspects are facing the preparation of appropriate charges for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Pertinent documents are being prepared for referral to the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
