The next chapter of the Blade Runner universe is closing in.

Prime Video has released a new trailer for Blade Runner 2099, offering a first extended look at the upcoming limited series ahead of its 25 November premiere. The footage debuted during the show's panel at New York Comic Con, where cast members Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer, Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham joined creator and showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson to discuss the series.

Set five decades after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the story returns to a transformed Los Angeles, where survival is no longer defined by humanity alone.

At the center of the series is Cora, a fugitive who assumes the identity of a Blade Runner for one final mission. She reluctantly teams up with Olwen, a dying Replicant, to track down a runaway whose secret could unravel the fragile balance holding the city together.

Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer lead the cast alongside Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben. They are joined by Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Matthew Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.

Blade Runner 2099 spans eight episodes and marks the franchise's first live-action television series. It is created by Silka Luisa, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ridley Scott is among the executive producers, while Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first two episodes.

All eight episodes will begin streaming on 25 November in more than 240 countries and territories.
