Horror fans have another reason to look forward to September as American Horror Story: “13” prepares to make its debut in the Philippines.
The latest chapter of the long-running anthology will premiere on 25 September, bringing back several familiar faces and characters from the series’ past. Among those set to return are Constance Langdon, Cordelia Goode, Madison Montgomery, Marie Laveau, Rubber Man, Twisty the Clown and Kai Anderson.
The new season will run for 13 half-hour episodes, with a packed rollout leading into Halloween. Three episodes will drop during each of the first two weeks, followed by two new episodes every Friday until the finale on 30 October.
The cast includes series regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Joey Pollari and Jessica Lange. They will be joined by Avantika, Jamie Brewer, Frances Conroy, John Carroll Lynch, Tig Notaro, Mena Suvari, John Waters and other returning and new performers.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the anthology has spent more than a decade moving through different corners of horror, from haunted houses and witches to freak shows, hotels and apocalyptic nightmares. Its 13th installment brings back some of the franchise’s most recognizable characters, while keeping details about the new horrors largely under wraps.
Since its 2011 debut, the series has earned more than 100 Emmy nominations and built a global following. Its various seasons have also accumulated more than 700 million hours of viewing worldwide.
