Nueva Ecija records P355B GDP in 2025

The Province of Nueva Ecija has recorded P355.09-billion in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the year 2025, the fastest economic growth rate in terms of provinces and highly urbanized cities in Central Luzon.
According to Governor Aurelio "Oyie" Umali, the data he received from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) shows that Nueva Ecija's economy continues to flourish due to the unified efforts of the Novo Ecijanos who continue to contribute in uplifting the lives of their families and the community.
The Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) of the PSA that was released on 1 October 2026 indicated that Nueva Ecija recorded a GDP increase of 7.0 percent, higher than Tarlac's 5.7 percent growth, Pampanga's 5.6 percent growth, and 4.5 percent regional growth rate.
Governor Umali said that the data does not only reflect a number or a positive economic indicator, the data shows the hard work, resilience, and the unified efforts of all Novo Ecijanos.
He emphasized that the PSA's data is important since this provides an objective and independent image of the economic performance of the province. He added that the data provides a positive guide for the government in creating new programs and enhancing programs that work, as well as services and policies beneficial for the people.
According to the PSA data, some of the sectors that have contributed to the development of the economy of Nueva Ecija in 2025 are: human health and social work activities with 19.4 percent growth; wholesale and retail trade with 12.3 percent growth; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycle; and accommodation and food service activities with 12 percent growth.
For the Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija, the development of the province should always be people-centered, a development that is not only measured by economic figures, but can be felt thru more employment opportunities and a better life for the Novo Ecijano family.
