Approximately P18 million worth of assistance and services was brought by the government to Pasigueños on Monday, 14 September, at the Philsports Arena as part of the nationwide Handog ng Pangulo (HNP) 2026 initiative.

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Pasig City local government, and other government agencies participated in delivering health services, employment and livelihood assistance, and other programs for the community.

As part of the services provided by the DMW, a total of P1.15 million in AKSYON Fund assistance was distributed to 19 overseas Filipino worker (OFW) beneficiaries under the government's UPLIFT initiative.

According to Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino, the goal of the Handog ng Pangulo initiative is to bring government services closer to Filipinos.

"We are conducting the nationwide Handog ng Pangulo, where government agencies, both national and local, will directly deliver their services to you," Tolentino said.

Meanwhile, more than P10 million in AKSYON Fund Assistance was delivered by the DMW to 200 OFWs and their families during the "Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat" event held also on Monday, 14 September, at the Pasay City Astrodome.

"I didn't expect that there was a program like this to help OFWs. I thought I would just return to the Philippines without receiving any other assistance. That is why I am deeply grateful to the DMW for their tireless service and compassion for us OFWs," Mark, an OFW from Saudi Arabia, said.

Led by DMW Undersecretary Bernard Olalia, Assistant Secretary Francis Ron De Guzman, and DMW-NCR Regional Director Ace Falconi Millar, the distribution of assistance to OFWs was conducted to address their immediate needs.

"Our help and support for our modern-day heroes do not end with the distribution of the AKSYON Fund. We are here together with our partner agencies to provide comprehensive assistance and services in accordance with the directive of our President Bongbong Marcos," Olalia said.

The distribution of AKSYON Fund assistance under the UPLIFT Program is part of the administration's extensive delivery of services, aid, and support to every Filipino in the Bagong Pilipinas.
