The intensified manhunt operations of the Pasig City Police Station yielded another significant accomplishment with the successful arrest of a most wanted person wanted for rape in Las Piñas City on Friday, 11 September.
At about 8:30 p.m., operatives of the Pasig City Police Station Intelligence Section conducted a manhunt operation along Gladiola Street, TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay Almanza Dos, Las Piñas City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of alias Jordan, 30, vendor, and a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
The arrest was effected by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 261, Pasig City, dated June 25, 2018, for the crime of Rape under Article 266-A, paragraph 1(a) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353, in relation to Section 5(a) of Republic Act No. 8369, under Criminal Case No. R-PSG-17-03033-CR, with no bail recommended.
The accused had been in hiding for almost nine years due to his involvement in the rape of a 13-year-old female victim in September 2017 in Nagpayong, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
