  • The Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon took part in the first Nueva Ecija Coffee Day that was held at the Pag-asa Gymnasium in the town of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on 10 September 2026, showing support for the growing coffee industry in the province during the 11th Carranglan Day.

Officials from DA Central Luzon, local government units, government agencies, private sector, academe, coffee farmer associations, and indigenous people (IPs) were present during the event.

The event aimed to gather various sectors to boost their knowledge, collaboration and commitment in developing the coffee industry on Nueva Ecija. Carranglan's Robusta coffee, various coffee beans from Pantabangan, Bongabon, and Gabaldon, we're introduced in the event, showcasing the various local coffee products of the province. Coffee products from indigenous farmers were also displayed to the participants.

The Nueva Ecija Coffee Technical Working Group led the activity, with the TWG formed by government agencies, LGUs, educational institutions, private sectoes, farmers’ organizations, and other stakeholders that help boost the coffee industry. This includes the DA Central Luzon thru the High Value Crops Development Program.

Under the Coffee Day, a ceremonial coffee tagay pugay, ceremonial signing ng Memorandum of Agreement for the Shared Service Facility of the Wishful Ancestral Domain Association of Kalanguya, Inc., and the signing of the Pledge of Commitment were held during the event.
