COTABATO CITY -- The Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) closed its 45-day campaign period Friday with a grand rally, positioning unity and inclusive governance as the core of its platform ahead of the region's historic polls.

Speaking before supporters at the party's miting de avance on 12 September, BFP leader and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua reaffirmed the party's commitment to bridging the region's diverse communities.

"Our goal is to unify the Bangsamoro and its people," Macacua said. "The Bangsamoro Federalist Party is a unifier party that does not distinguish whether one is Muslim, Lumad, or Christian. We need to serve everyone. This is a party that is truly inclusive."

Macacua stressed that sustainable progress requires communities to move forward collectively. He noted that unity must manifest not only in political leadership, but also in the equitable delivery of public services and economic opportunities regardless of a resident's faith or background.

Emphasizing values-based leadership, Macacua said a BFP-led administration would push for programs designed to bolster Islamic consciousness across the region.

"We will create programs focused on strengthening Islamic consciousness in the Bangsamoro, because we believe that strong morality and accountability are essential foundations of good governance," Macacua said.

He added that fostering integrity, accountability, and compassion in public service would reinforce anti-corruption measures and strengthen institutional frameworks throughout the BARMM.

Friday marked the end of the 45-day campaign window for the region's inaugural parliamentary elections, setting the stage for voters to cast their ballots.
