Police arrested a 19-year-old man listed as the No. 10 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level during a manhunt operation in Barangay Apurawan, Aborlan, Palawan, on 2 September 2026.

The suspect, a single and unemployed resident of the barangay, was arrested by personnel of the Aborlan Municipal Police Station (AMPS), led by PMAJ Orland A. Tagaro, OIC, with support from the PNP Maritime Group Quezon Sub-Station and assistance from the Aborlan Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.

Authorities served a warrant of arrest dated September 2, 2026, issued by Hon. Arlene Bayuga Guillen, Presiding Judge of the Family Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 13, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The warrant was issued in connection with a rape case under Article 266-A, paragraph 1, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code. The court set recommended bail at P200,000.

The arrested man is currently in the custody of the Aborlan MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

Palawan Police Provincial Office Provincial Director PCOL Joel D. Casupanan commended the operating units for the arrest and said police would continue to intensify operations against wanted persons.

“This accomplishment demonstrates our unwavering commitment to uphold the law and ensure that individuals facing serious criminal charges are brought before the proper court,” Casupanan said.

Casupanan added that police would continue coordinating with partner agencies to strengthen manhunt operations and protect communities, particularly vulnerable sectors.
