Wanted individuals for lascivious acts arrested in Caloocan City

Members of the police arrested two suspects in Caloocan City who were wanted for charges of lascivious acts.

One of the arrested suspects is a 34-year-old Caloocan City resident, identified as the most wanted person in Anda, Pangasinan.

Police operatives from the District Special Operations Unit of the Northern Police District (NPD-DSOU), the Cyber Patroller and Tracker Team, and the Anda Municipal Police Station of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office led the operation.

The accused faces charges for violating Article 335, also known as rape, in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.

Section 5(B) of RA 7610 penalizes “those who commit the act of sexual intercourse or lascivious conduct with a child exploited in prostitution or subjected to other sexual abuse.”

The arrest warrant was issued by the Caloocan City Family Court on 21 February, with a recommended bail of P180,000.

Also in Caloocan City, a 45-year-old man identified as alias “Junie” was arrested in Barangay 187, North Caloocan, for multiple charges.

According to Caloocan City Police Chief Col. Edcille Canals, the suspect faces four counts of Qualified Rape of a Minor and Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 366 of the Revised Penal Code.

No bail was recommended for the Qualified Rape of a Minor charges, while bail for the Acts of Lasciviousness charge was set at P180,000.
