2TinCans Philippines, Inc. presents Stay a Little Longer, a full-length drama written by Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson and directed by Shifrah Bouchikhi-Enclona, on 29 and 30 August at The Kabilin Center, Cebu City. The production is featured as part of KULUKABILDO II: Stories in Direct Light, a program highlighting original stories directed by emerging Cebuano directors.
Stay a Little Longer follows HER, a woman whose memory moves fluidly through various stages of her life—from childhood grief and young adulthood to her career as a physician and her later years in a hospice room. As chronology collapses and identities overlap, those who love her must decide whether to force their own reality onto her or step into hers.
Rather than treating memory loss as a disappearance, the play aims to explore it as a shifting way of moving through time. Set entirely within a single hospice room transformed through lighting, sound, and spatial shifts, the drama examines how identity, dignity, and selfhood persist even when memory fades.
The cast features Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson in the lead role of HER, alongside Jonathan Tad Tadioan as HUSBAND, Charlene Virlouvet as DAUGHTER, Shiella Pestaño-Gemperoa as DOCTOR, and Rio Delizo as NURSE. Stage management is handled by Benjun Yu, with production design by Louie Carlo Basalo.
