Tesla tops Phl EV sales in June

Tesla ranked as the Philippines’ top-selling electric vehicle (EV) brand in June 2026, according to sales data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. and Truck Manufacturers Association.
The result followed a similar finish in May, giving Tesla two consecutive months at the top of the local EV market. The brand did not disclose its June sales volume or market share.
Tesla’s Philippine performance came as the automaker posted record vehicle deliveries in several overseas markets. These included South Korea, Australia, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.
The company is also increasing production of its 4680 battery cells to support higher output of the Model Y. Tesla said initial Philippine deliveries of the Model Y L began less than a month after it started accepting orders.
Buyers can finance a Model 3 for as low as P29,990 a month. The actual monthly payment may vary based on the financing terms, down payment and chosen vehicle.
Current offers for qualified customers include free Supercharging credits, one year of comprehensive insurance and a complimentary home charger.
Tesla is also offering limited-time purchase incentives, although the release did not provide the full terms.
Software remains a major part of the ownership experience. Tesla said it released more than 300 new or updated features worldwide in 2025 through over-the-air updates.
Its Summer 2026 software release expands the functions of the Grok AI Assistant. Drivers can use the system to make phone calls, search for music and change the climate controls.
Automatic navigation can also suggest destinations based on a driver’s habits and schedule.
