Tesla Philippines has added two Destination Charging locations in Bonifacio Global City and Laguna as it continues to build its charging network in the country.

The new sites are located at Arthaland Century Pacific Tower in BGC and Southwoods Mall in Laguna. Both locations allow Tesla owners to charge while they work, shop, dine or spend time nearby.

Southwoods Mall now has four Destination Chargers rated at 10 kW. The mall serves drivers in Laguna and other parts of Southern Luzon, where more charging locations can help make electric vehicle use more practical.

The BGC site is equipped with 11 kW Destination Chargers at Arthaland Century Pacific Tower. Its location in a major business district gives office workers, residents and visitors another place to recharge during the day.

Destination Chargers are usually installed at places where drivers stay for several hours. They are different from faster Superchargers that are designed mainly for shorter charging stops during long trips.

The two new locations add to Tesla’s existing presence in the Philippines. The company currently operates Tesla Center BGC and a pop-up location at Alabang Town Center.

Tesla owners can find available charging locations through the Tesla app. The app also allows users to monitor charging sessions and manage some vehicle functions remotely.

The company is also promoting a digital purchase process that allows customers to choose and order a vehicle through a smartphone or computer. Vehicle prices and available options are shown during the online ordering process.

Tesla said eligible buyers may also receive customer benefits such as Supercharging credits and one year of complimentary comprehensive insurance. The company also runs a referral program for current owners and new customers.

Members of the Tesla Owners Club may receive offers and discounts from participating merchants. These privileges are separate from the vehicle and charging services offered by the company.

The addition of chargers in BGC and Laguna comes as more electric vehicle charging sites open in malls, offices, hotels and other commercial areas. These locations give drivers more options outside their homes and can reduce the need to rely on a single charging station.

Charging access remains one of the main concerns for people considering an electric vehicle.

More chargers in places where motorists already spend time can make ownership easier, especially for drivers who do not have a private charging point at home.

The Southwoods Mall station gives Tesla owners another charging option south of Metro Manila, while the BGC location serves one of the country’s busiest business areas.

Tesla has not announced how many additional charging stations it plans to open next. The company said it will continue expanding its local charging network as the number of electric vehicles in the Philippines grows.
