Jared Leto has firmly denied allegations of criminal sexual conduct after a BBC documentary featured accounts from multiple women who accused the Oscar-winning actor and musician of inappropriate behavior during the years he was a Hollywood star and frontman of the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars.

The documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, includes allegations from 10 women, with four accusing Leto of conduct they believe amounted to criminal offenses. The women allege the incidents occurred between 2002 and 2016, when they were teenagers and Leto was in his 30s and 40s.

According to the report, one woman alleged she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was 17, while another claimed Leto threatened her with sexual assault after they were left alone in a hotel room when she was 19.

A third woman alleged she had sexual relations with Leto in California at age 17, while another accused him of making repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her beginning when she was 16. She also claimed she was later asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding their alleged relationship but declined to do so.

The BBC said it corroborated portions of several accounts through interviews with friends and family members, as well as photographs, messages, and other supporting materials. The documentary also includes testimony from two former associates of Thirty Seconds to Mars, who alleged staff members were uncomfortable with Leto’s interactions with teenage girls backstage and at recording locations.

Following the documentary’s release, Leto, through a spokesperson, rejected all allegations.

“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”

The latest accusations come after previous allegations surfaced in recent years, including claims published by Air Mail and statements made publicly by American DJ Allie Teilz. Leto has consistently denied those allegations as well.

No criminal charges have been announced in connection with the allegations presented in the BBC documentary, and Leto continues to deny any wrongdoing.
