The Southern Police District (SPD) intensified its campaign against illegal drugs with the arrest of a 30-year-old suspect, identified only by the alias Michael, and the seizure of approximately 210 grams of suspected shabu and 30 grams of suspected marijuana kush during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City early Friday morning.
The operation was conducted at around 3:25 a.m. in the parking lot along Doña Soledad, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City by operatives of the Parañaque City Police Station.
Investigation disclosed that an undercover police operative bought suspected shabu from the suspect prompting the arresting team to immediately identify themselves and effect his arrest.
A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of approximately 210 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P1,428,000, 30 grams of suspected marijuana kush valued at P45,000, the marked buy-bust money, boodle money, a sling bag, a cellular phone, and other pieces of evidence.
The arrested suspect is now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
He remains under the custody of the Parañaque City Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges before the Parañaque City Prosecutor's Office.
