    • 76th Fil-Am Invitational

Januarius doubles down on its commitment to Philippine golf, returning as title sponsor of the 76th Fil-Am Invitational for a fourth consecutive year and reinforcing its support for one of the country’s most celebrated and enduring amateur championships.

Januarius, a Philippine investment holding company led by JJ Atencio, formalized its continued partnership on Friday during the signing of the sponsorship agreement with Fil-Am Invitational co-chairmen Anthony de Leon of Baguio Country Club and Eduardo Arguelles of John Hay Golf Club.

“It is an honor to be part of the tournament,” Atencio said. “I would like to thank Baguio Country Club and John Hay Golf for the opportunity.”

Atencio said the Fil-Am Invitational’s rich history and prestige made it an easy decision for Januarius to extend its support for another year.

The 76th edition of the Fil-Am Invitational will be staged from 24 November to 12 December at Baguio Country Club and John Hay Golf Club, where thousands of golfers from the Philippines and overseas are expected to compete in the country’s biggest and longest-running amateur golf tournament.

De Leon, general manager of Baguio Country Club, said the extensive rehabilitation of the club’s golf course, which began last year, is on schedule and expected to be completed before the tournament tees off.

He also announced a significant format change designed to improve the pace of play. Teams will now compete under a 4-to-play, 3-to-count format, replacing the previous scoring system to keep rounds moving more efficiently while preserving the tournament’s competitive spirit.
