If there’s one place in the country that can offer chills and relaxation, it’s Baguio City.
And as tradition, DAILY TRIBUNE chose the Summer Capital to bond and fortify camaraderie in our yearly team-building activity.
One of Baguio City’s posh and very relaxing hotels, the Baguio Country Club (BCC), was accommodating enough to welcome almost 70 Katribu, offering their luxurious accommodations for our teams.
BCC is Katribu’s top choice, as it offers spacious villas and various amenities set against the cool mountain air, pine forests, and a variety of venues ideal for corporate and organizational team-building activities aimed toward productive connection, skills development and fun.
Katribu’s golf enthusiasts, namely, our esteemed boss Willie Fernandez; associate editor Rey Bancod, and sports editor Julius Manicad enjoyed BCC’s 18-hole golf course.
Everyone savored BCC’s famous offerings in its buffets and the bakeshop’s delectable pastries, such as its famed raisin and banana breads. It’s a saying that your BCC stay is not complete without bringing these home.
The much-awaited team-building Quiz Bee once again tested Katribu’s innate wit. After several rounds, the team of Ms. Cheeney Eugenio, our head of accounting, emerged as the Champion.
Our staff was also given time to explore the offerings of Baguio City and neighboring sites, a worthwhile endeavor to relax minds and bodies.
The editorial team, however, remained committed to bringing the latest news even remotely, as it continued closing the print pages of DAILY TRIBUNE.
The online team, on the other hand, remained focused on their news postings, while having fun. Amazing, right?
Indeed, it was a valuable break — a time to rest, restart and get pumped-up for a year-long, exciting work journey as DAILY TRIBUNE gallops ahead in the Year of the Fire Horse.
