South Korean stars IU and Lee Jong Suk have reportedly ended their relationship after four years together, according to an exclusive report by Korean media outlet Dispatch.

The report said representatives of both artists confirmed that the pair recently broke up and have chosen to remain on good terms. Citing people close to the former couple, Dispatch reported that their demanding schedules made it increasingly difficult for them to spend time together, ultimately leading to their decision to part ways.

IU and Lee Jong Suk first met in 2012 while serving as MCs on SBS’ Inkigayo. After years of friendship, they confirmed their relationship in late 2022 and became one of South Korea’s most beloved celebrity couples.

Despite the breakup, both stars remain busy with their respective careers. Lee Jong Suk is preparing for the release of his upcoming Disney+ series The Remarried Empress. Meanwhile, IU is working on her new album after wrapping up filming for the MBC drama Perfect Crown and is set to hold a concert at Goyang Stadium in September.
