For many celebrities, birthdays are marked with lavish parties or extravagant gifts. For Kapamilya star Ryan Bang, however, the occasion became an opportunity to express gratitude to the people who have stood by him throughout his journey in the Philippines.
The television host and actor revealed that he decided to share money he had carefully saved over the past 15 years with two of the people he considers family—his longtime personal assistant and driver.
Bang said the gesture came from a place of genuine appreciation rather than obligation, explaining that the two have remained by his side through the highs and lows of his career.
“Galing sa puso ko. Matagal nang nagta-trabaho sa akin ’yung personal assistant ko at driver ko. Sila talaga ’yung pinaka-malapit sa puso ko kasi wala po akong pamilya dito. Gusto ko hatiin ’yung inipon ko, kahit hindi super laki, para makatulong sa mga inaanak ko,” he shared.
Having built his life and career away from his relatives in South Korea, Bang has often spoken about finding a second family in the Philippines. His longtime employees have become part of that support system, making the birthday gift a deeply personal expression of gratitude.
Rather than focusing on material celebrations, Bang chose to recognize the loyalty, trust, and years of companionship that helped shape both his personal life and professional success.
His heartfelt act has resonated with fans, highlighting that generosity is not measured by the amount given but by the sincerity behind it. For Ryan Bang, his birthday became less about receiving presents and more about giving back to the people who have never left his side.
