The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Saturday said it has surpassed its revenue target for June, collecting P86.073 billion, while its total collections for the first six months of 2026 reached P491.748 billion.

Quoting the BOC reports, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the Bureau collections in June 2026 exceeded the monthly target by P2.853 billion.

“Muling nakapagtala ng matatag na pagtaas ng koleksyon ng kita ang Bureau of Customs sa pamumuno ni Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno para sa buwan ng Hunyo ngayong taon…Base sa datos ng ahensya, umabot sa P86.073 billion ang kanilang nalikom noong nakaraang buwan, lagpas ito ng PhP2.853 billion sa itinakdang buwanang ng target,” said Castro, during a press briefing in Vancouver, Canada.

She noted that for the January to June period, the BOC collected P491.748 billion, surpassing its target by P11.478 billion and posting a 7.2-percent increase compared with collections during the same period last year.

The Palace Press Officer said the accomplishment reflects its commitment to carrying out the President's directive to enhance revenue collection.

"Alinsunod ito sa direktiba ng Pangulo sa BOC na ipagpatuloy ang mahusay na pangungulekta ng kita upang matustusan ang mahahalagang programa at proyektong nagbibigay ng benepisyo sa taumbayan," she added.

Castro said the BOC also credited the milestone to the coordinated efforts of its 17 collection districts, strengthened law enforcement operations, and the continued modernization of its systems and processes.

"Ang tagumpay na ito ay patunay lamang sa sama-samang pagsisikap ng 17 collection districts ng BOC, pinaigting na pagpapatupad ng batas at patuloy na modernisasyon ng mga sistema at proseso ng ahensya," she emphasized.

"Sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., nananatiling nakatuon ang BOC sa pagpapalakas ng pangungulekta ng kita bilang suporta sa mga programa ng pamahalaan at sa layuning makamit ang P1 trillion na target collection sa 2026," Castro said.
