  • Popular content creator and actress Ivana Alawi took to Facebook to address the remarks often directed at women, including, “Puro ka pa-sexy” and “Paano hindi babastusin, eh tingnan mo naman ang suot mo?”

She stressed that respect should never depend on how much skin a woman shows or the length of her clothes.

“Walang anumang kasuotan ang nagbibigay ng karapatan sa iba para husgahan, maliitin, o bastusin ka,” Alawi wrote in her post.

(No type of clothing gives anyone the right to judge, belittle, or disrespect you.)

She added, “Every woman deserves respect regardless of her clothing, body type, or social status.”

Alawi also emphasized that “a person’s kindness, character, and treatment of others matter more than appearance.”

She concluded her message by encouraging women to embrace their individuality and practice self-love.

“Wear what makes you happy. Be proud of who you are. Love yourself,” she wrote.
