Filinvest Business Services Corporation (FBSC), the shared services arm of the Filinvest Group, has been recognized at the Asian Management Excellence Awards 2026, clinching Philippines Team of the Year – Business Services and Philippines Executive of the Year – Business Services.
The executive award was conferred on FBSC Senior Vice President and Managing Head Perdasille Carlos-Mesina. The honors followed a rigorous evaluation by a panel of judges from Southeast Asia, composed of senior leaders from global professional services firms including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, and Roland Berger.
The awards recognized FBSC’s performance in its first full year of operations, marked by notable gains in efficiency, governance, and capability building following the integration of shared services across multiple business units of Filinvest Group, one of the country’s largest conglomerates.
Under Mesina’s leadership, FBSC recorded a Service Reliability Index of 92.7 percent, exceeding the 90 percent benchmark typically expected of already stabilized shared services operations.
While comparable shared services transformations usually take three to five years, FBSC achieved key milestones within just nine months. The organization consolidated more than 400 employees from various Filinvest business units into a unified shared services structure and operating model, covering functions such as finance, human resources, and corporate administration.
The transformation streamlined processes, improved productivity, and enhanced service delivery through value stream mapping, continuous improvement workshops, and the rollout of artificial intelligence and automation pilots. FBSC is also leading an enterprise resource planning modernization initiative through an Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation, establishing a centralized digital backbone to improve data accuracy and decision-making across the Filinvest Group.
These accelerated results were anchored on FBSC’s 4Ms Service Philosophy: May Malasakit (genuine care and commitment), Maaasahan (reliable), Madaling Kausap (easy to work with), and Mahusay (excellent). The company cited strong collaboration, a bayanihan culture, and innovative operational practices as key drivers behind its rapid progress.
