Building on a 14 percent increase in passenger traffic in 2025, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., the operator of Clark International Airport (CRK), expects to sustain growth this year as more flights transfer from Metro Manila.
In a report on Friday, the operator said CRK handled 2.75 million passengers last year, up from 2.40 million in 2024.
Domestic travel surged 23 percent to 1.04 million passengers, while international traffic rose 10 percent to 1.71 million.
Airline capacity expanded
Airline capacity also expanded. Total available seats grew 12 percent to 3.78 million with domestic capacity up 21 percent and international capacity up 8 percent, as airlines added more flights on existing routes.
Flight activity followed suit. Domestic movements climbed 34 percent to 12,117, while international movements rose 5 percent to 10,628.
System-wide flights grew
Overall, system-wide flights grew 18 percent to 22,745.
“2025 was a year of steady growth for Clark International Airport,” said Noel Manankil, president and CEO of LIPAD.
“The increase in passenger traffic and improved load factors were supported by stronger airline partnerships. Looking ahead to 2026, we remain optimistic as airline operations continue to expand at Clark,” he added.
To recall, budget airline Cebu Pacific alone is expected to complete the transfer of all its turboprop operations to Clark by March, a move LIPAD said will further boost the airport‘s growth.
