Actor Dennis Trillo took to social media to firmly and tenderly defend his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, amid online chatter that began drawing his family into public discussion.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Dennis reminded the public of the values that matter most to him: love, respect, and kindness, especially toward family members who never chose the spotlight.
Isang pribilehiyo na ako ang pinili niyang makasama habang buhay,” he wrote, underscoring his deep admiration for Jennylyn as both a partner and a person.
The actor also appealed for understanding regarding his parents, whom he described as elderly, private individuals living far from the glare of show business.
Addressing assumptions about family dynamics, Dennis was clear and calm. “Mahal na mahal ko po silang lahat at maayos ang samahan namin kahit di man kami madalas nagkakasama dahil sadyang busy ang aming mga schedules,” he said, putting to rest speculations of discord.
Closing his message on a reflective note, Dennis urged everyone to refocus on empathy and shared responsibility, especially in the new year.
The post ended with a simple but resonant call: #MagingMabutingTao
