Authorities in Bolinao, Pangasinan seized approximately P13.6 million worth of shabu during an early morning buy-bust operation on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of two high-value suspects.
The operation, conducted at around 6:50 a.m. on 12 November in Purok 4, Barangay Ilog-Malino, involved combined forces from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group, Pangasinan Provincial Police Office, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pangasinan Provincial Office. Officers confiscated about 2,000 grams of suspected shabu, along with buy-bust money and other items.
The arrested individuals are now in the custody of the Bolinao Municipal Police Station.
Confiscated evidence has been secured at SOU 3 of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group for documentation and further investigation.
PNP Acting Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez hailed the successful operation, saying it “stands as a testament to the police’s unwavering fight against illegal drugs.”
“Every successful interdiction not only weakens criminal networks but also protects countless lives from the harm caused by these dangerous substances,” he added.
Nartatez noted that the operation is part of ongoing intelligence-driven anti-drug efforts in Pangasinan and coordinated initiatives between national and local law enforcement agencies.
