In a world where success often feels reserved for a privileged few, Rosarie “Madam Riza” Ledesma stands as living proof that perseverance, integrity, and faith in oneself can turn even the humblest beginnings into a world-class legacy.

Recently honored as The Most Outstanding Business Woman of the Year at the prestigious World Class Excellence Japan Awards, Madam Riza’s story is not just one of business triumph—it’s a tale of courage, resilience, and purpose.

From Simplicity to Significance

“Lumaki ako sa province namin sa Marinduque, napaka simple ng kabataan ko. Hindi kami mayaman, ang nanay ko beautician, nagho-home service, ang tatay ko naman magsasaka,” she recalls.

It was in that quiet island life that she learned the value of hard work and humility. With limited resources but big dreams, young Riza made a promise to herself: that she would build a better life not only for her family but also for others who dare to dream.

“Simula noon, di talaga ako umaasa sa iba. Natuto ako na pagsumikapan ang mga bagay-bagay na kailangan ko,” she adds—a statement that would become her life’s guiding principle.

Overcoming Trials with Grace

Success never comes without trials, and Madam Riza’s path was no exception. She faced one of her hardest battles when betrayal struck close to home.

“Minsan naloko na rin ako ng isang malapit na kaibigan. Masyado ako nagtiwala sa kanya, di ko alam nagagalaw na pala ang funds namin. Masakit yun para sa akin,” she shares with quiet strength.

But instead of allowing pain to define her, she turned it into power. That painful chapter became a lesson in discernment and resilience—fueling her determination to rebuild stronger, smarter, and with a renewed sense of purpose.

Success Redefined

For Madam Riza, success isn’t measured by luxury or fame—it’s about stability, gratitude, and giving back.

“Naramdaman ko na successful na ako nung nabibili ko na ang mga bagay na gusto ko na di na kinakapos sa budget, kasi inuuna ko lagi ang mga pangangailangan namin sa bahay,” she humbly explains.

Her first major purchase? A car—both a symbol of achievement and a necessity for her growing business. “Kotse ang una kong binili, parang regalo ko sa sarili ko at kailangan naman talaga sa trabaho. Tapos sumunod na yung bahay,” she smiles.

A Legacy of Empowerment

Beyond her personal milestones, Madam Riza has become a mentor and inspiration to many. Her leadership style is rooted in empathy and empowerment, reminding others that success is most meaningful when shared.

“Kung makikita ko ang batang ako, yayakapin ko siya. Sasabihin ko, ‘Ang galing-galing mo,’” she says, her voice filled with emotion—a powerful reminder that no dream is too distant for those who believe in themselves.

A World-Class Woman with a Filipino Heart

Rosarie Ledesma’s recognition as The Most Outstanding Business Woman of the Year is more than a title—it is a testament to her unwavering spirit and the impact she continues to make.

From the fields of Marinduque to the grand stage of the World Class Excellence Japan Awards, her journey is a beacon for dreamers everywhere: that with grit, gratitude, and grace, every dream—no matter how small it starts—can grow into greatness.

“Success is not just about what you achieve, but about who you become in the process—and how many lives you uplift along the way.” — Rosarie Ledesma
