After more than a decade of love, patience, and shared milestones, Kapuso stars EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz are officially husband and wife. The couple exchanged vows today 14 August , 2025, in a heartfelt church ceremony held at St. Benedict Parish in Westgrove Heights, Cavite.
EA and Shaira began dating in 2013 and became engaged in 2021.
However, they chose to keep their engagement private until early 2024, shortly after Shaira completed her college degree—a milestone she had long set as a prerequisite for marriage.
Diaz earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management, from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA in August 2024.
In interviews, Shaira shared that she wanted to marry EA only after finishing her studies, emphasizing the importance of being emotionally and financially prepared for married life.
The church wedding was attended by family, close friends, and a star-studded entourage that included Shaira’s “Unang Hirit” co-hosts and fellow celebrities.
Principal sponsors included Boy Abunda, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Arnold Clavio, and fashion mogul Ben Chan A. Bridesmaids included Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Arra San Agustin, and Julia Montes, while groomsmen featured Coco Martin, Rayver Cruz, and Gerald Anderson.
Shaira, dubbed the “Kapuso Morning Sunshine,” gave viewers a glimpse of her wedding preparations on “Unang Hirit” earlier that day, sharing her excitement and saying, “I can’t wait to marry you”.
One of the most talked-about aspects of their relationship was the couple’s decision to remain celibate until marriage a choice they linked to their faith and personal values. EA admitted that the journey wasn’t easy, but emphasized that it was worth it. In his wedding vows, he said: “We chose a path not everyone would understand. To wait. To honor God. And to honor each other by practicing purity. It wasn’t always easy. But it was worth every moment.”
