Maynilad Water Services announced a scheduled water service interruption in parts of Metro Manila and Cavite from Saturday, 7 June, to Sunday, 8 June, due to ongoing repairs on a damaged major pipeline in Tondo, Manila.
The affected pipeline, measuring 2.2 meters in diameter, was reportedly damaged by a third-party contractor involved in the construction of the New Pritil Market along Nicolas Zamora Street.
The service interruption will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday and is expected to last until 10:00 AM Sunday.
Affected areas in Metro Manila include portions of Manila, Pasay City, Parañaque City, and Las Piñas City. In Cavite, residents in Bacoor City, Cavite City, Imus City, Kawit, Rosario, and Noveleta will also experience service disruptions.
Maynilad advised customers to store sufficient water and to expect temporary discoloration in the water supply once service resumes. The utility also said an updated advisory will be issued if repairs take longer than scheduled.
