Netflix dropped the much-anticipated trailer for Squid Game Season 3 on Monday, sending fans into a frenzy with the reveal of a new round of brutal games set to stream starting 27 June.
The trailer opens ominously with guards in the series’ signature pink uniforms carrying a coffin into the players’ quarters.
As the lid creaks open, it reveals Player 456, Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae), seemingly lifeless—only to jolt awake moments later.
His shocking return confirms that the reluctant hero, who walked away from the games at the end of Season 1 and became entangled in a deeper conspiracy in Season 2, is once again thrust into the deadly competition.
Fans quickly took to social media to share their reactions.
“Oh my. I think this is the most brutal season of Squid Game! It’s so scary to watch this. How will they end this game? Gosh! Full of suspense episodes,” one viewer wrote.
