BTS’ V, the iconic Kim Taehyung, has set the internet abuzz with fresh rumors — could he be joining the cast of Netflix’s Squid Game Season 3?

The second season of Squid Game featured a star-studded K-pop lineup, including former IZ*ONE member Jo Yuri, ex-BIGBANG member T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyung), and ZE:A's Siwan. With Netflix recently hinting at a Season 3 premiere date set for June 2025, fans have started piecing together clues that could connect the series to BTS' V.

Taehyung notably dressed as a Squid Game guard during BTS' Permission to Dance on Stage concerts in Los Angeles. Additionally, a selfie of him with the show's lead actor, Lee Jung Jae, remains on Lee's Instagram, sparking speculation about their possible hangouts.

Furthermore, V is believed to have a strong friendship with Siwan, who even mentioned the former in an interview, noting that the BTS star was one of the last people he followed on Instagram at the time.

All these past hints have resurfaced as speculation intensifies about BTS' V possibly joining the cast of Squid Game in its third season. During an interview with BuzzFeed UK, Lee Jung Jae and his co-star Wi Ha Joon were directly asked about the rumors.

The mention of V’s name immediately sparked visible reactions from the duo. Lee Jung Jae, clearly caught off guard, quickly responded, “I can't say anything about that,” while a smiling Wi Ha Joon stayed firm with a simple “No comment.”

Netflix and the show's production team have stayed silent, providing no official confirmation. However, the idea of V entering the intense, high-stakes universe of Squid Game has already ignited numerous fan theories.

If V is cast in Squid Game Season 3, it would be his second acting project, following his debut as Suk Han Sung in the 2016 hit drama Hwarang.
