Drag queen and Drag Race Philippines judge Jiggly Caliente will not be returning for the upcoming season of the hit reality competition, as she focuses on recovering from a serious health setback that led to the loss of most of her right leg.
In a statement posted on her official Instagram account, Jiggly—whose real name is Bianca Castro—shared the difficult news with her followers, prompting an outpouring of love and support from fans and fellow performers.
“The family of Bianca Castro, known to many as the beloved drag performer Jiggly Caliente, is heartbroken to share that over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback,” the statement read.
According to the announcement, Jiggly was hospitalized due to a severe infection, which ultimately required the amputation of most of her right leg. As a result, she will be stepping back from public appearances, including her role on Drag Race Philippines, to focus on her long-term recovery.
“Because of these circumstances, Bianca will not be appearing in the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines, nor will she be participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future. Her recovery will be extensive,” the post continued.
The Castro family has requested privacy as they navigate this difficult time and expressed deep gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers and words of encouragement.
Jiggly Caliente first rose to fame as a contestant on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, later returning for All Stars Season 6. Over the years, she has become a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ representation, trans visibility, and body positivity—earning admiration both on and off the drag stage.
Despite this unexpected pause, fans remain hopeful for her full recovery and eventual return, cheering her on as she continues her journey with resilience and grace.
