Sanya Lopez on love: I think it’s time
Published on

Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez is embracing new possibilities in 2025, opening up about her desire to finally find love this year. Known for being a self-confessed NBSB (no boyfriend since birth), Sanya shared her thoughts on romance, relationships, and readiness in a heartfelt interview with Boy Abunda on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.

When asked if 2025 is the right year for her to finally have a boyfriend, Sanya responded with honesty and conviction: “I think it’s time, Tito Boy.”

She added, “We’re not getting any younger. Maybe it’s time to make room for that part of life too. As long as it doesn’t get in the way of my work, and I can still fulfill my responsibilities, I think there won’t be a problem.”

The actress also revealed her dream of starting a family within the next five years. “Especially now, Tito Boy, for women, having a partner and a family—it’s a big deal. When you get older, as a woman, you really want to have a family. I hope I can start mine around 32 or 33 years old, if the time comes.”

When Boy asked if a potential boyfriend might already be in her life, Sanya admitted she’s taking her time in getting to know the right person. At this stage, she’s no longer looking for short-term romance—she’s searching for “husband material.”

“I’m at a point where I want a real partner,” she shared. “Not just for the moment, but someone I can build a future with.”

Sanya ended her interview with a touching message for her future partner—wherever he may be.

“If you’re already out there, wherever you are, I pray the Lord will guide us. I want God to be at the center of our relationship. If you have faith in Him, then maybe I can come second. Please take care of my heart—especially if you’ll be my first boyfriend. And hopefully… my husband.”

She added, with a smile and a hopeful heart: “Lord, where is he?”

Lopez will star as 'Mila' in the upcoming satirical comedy film Samahan ng mga Makasalanan, which opens on 19 April, Black Saturday, in cinemas nationwide.
