Operatives from the Pasay City Police apprehended three individuals Wednesday during a routine patrol in Barangay 201.
Reports disclosed that around 5:30 a.m., officers PSSg Abduhasad Usman and Pat Raiven De Guzman were on foot patrol when a concerned citizen reported a group of men allegedly involved in illegal activity.
Responding to Daop Palad, Barangay 201, the officers observed the individuals playing cara y cruz, an illegal coin gambling game.
The suspects were identified as alias Joey,” alias “Sandy” and alias “Joshua” and police recovered three one-peso coins used for flipping and P500 in bet money, all marked as evidence.
A subsequent body search revealed a .38 caliber revolver with one live round of ammunition in Joshua’s possession.
Additionally, two small plastic bags containing approximately 0.28 grams of suspected shabu were recovered from Joey and Sandy.
Authorities said the suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and chose to remain silent.
